Germany opens the tournament with a 5:1 win against Scotland

The official site of EURO 2024 is now live, offering information on news, stats, videos, player and club information. The UEFA EURO 2024 will take place in Germany from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The tournament will be hosted in ten cities across Germany, with the final to be held at the Die München Fußball Arena in Munich. This will be the second time that the Die München Fußball Arena will host the European Championship, having previously hosted the tournament in 2020.

Germany opened the tournament with a 5:1 win against Scotland at the Esprit Arena in Düsseldorf. The goalscorers for Germany were Timo Werner (2), Kai Havertz, Ilkay Gündogan, and Robin Gosens. Scotland's goal was scored by John McGinn. The match was played in front of a crowd of 51,541.
